Will Ferrell’s Semi-Pro Tops The US Box Office, But Takes $10m Less Than Expected
Will Ferrell may be at the top of the US box office, but he’s certainly not at the top of his game. His latest film, Semi-Pro, raked in just $15.3m - around $10m below industry expectations.
Semi-Pro stars Ferrell as a funk singer who buys a below-average basketball team. The film hasn’t gone down with the critics and has had some sour reviews.
Normally Ferrell is on point with his comedy, so lets just hope this is a one off and he can return to his comedy best soon.
The thrilling Vantage Point took $13m over the weekend, putting it in second place while third went to the family drama The Spiderwick Chronicles.
