The trailer for Shelter has hit the net. Being dubbed as Brokeback mountain on water, the film follows the story of Zach, an artist forced to give up his dreams of art school to help his needy sister care for her son. Stuck in a dead end job, he spends his free time surfing, drawing and hanging out with his best friend Gabe who lives on the wealthy side of town.

When Gabe’s older brother Shaun comes home, he finds himself attracted to Zach’s selflessness and talent. Zach soon falls in love with Shaun while trying to reconcile his own desires with the needs of his family.

It looks like a heart-wrenching love story and while it may not be on the same scale as Brokeback Mountain was, it certainly has potential.
