Watch Meryl Streep In The Trailer For Dark Matter
The new trailer for Dark Matter, starring Meryl Streep and Aidan Quinn, has gone online. Dark Matter is a film directed by Chen Shi-Zheng and follows the story of Liu Xing (Liu Ye), a Chinese science student pursuing a Ph.D. in the United States in the early 1990s.
Xing is driven by ambition but he’s unable to navigate academic politics and is pushed to the margins of American Life, until he loses his way.
Spoiler warning: The film is loosely based on the life of Chinese physics student Gang Lu who killed five people in a shooting at Iowa University in 1991 and then killed himself, so I wouldn’t expect a perfectly happy ending if I were you!
