Tim Allen, best known for being in front of the camera, is set to take the reins on his directional debut, Crazy On The Outside. The film is a comedy (naturally) about a parolee from prison who goes to live with his eccentric sister which makes it even harder to adjust to life on the outside.

Tim won’t just be directing, as he will also star in the film. Also in talks to star are Carrie-Anne Moss, Kelsey Grammer, Ray Liotta and Julie Bowen. Great cast if he can get it!

Tim will direct from a script by Judd Pillot and John Peaslee. The film is set to start filming this month in LA.

Tim has left the kiddie films for a while to concentrate on more adult comedy. He’s just finished work on David Mamet’s Redbelt and rom-com The Six Wives of Henry Lefay. We know this guy can do comedy - but can he direct?
