Platinum Dunes Set To Remake Rosemary’s Baby

In the film industry, things are going to happen that you may not be overly happy about, but they will happen. Today is my day to realise this as Shocktilyoudrop broke the news that serial remakers Platinum Dunes are going to remake Roman Polanski’s Rosemary’s Baby.
Rosemary’s Baby is possibly one of the best horrors ever (in my opinion). Based on Ira Levine’s 1967 book, the original movie followed the story of a recently married woman (Mia Farrow) who becomes spooked by the odd behaviour of her husband and strange neighbours. She then finds herself pregnant with something that ain’t a cute little human baby.
In my opinion, the first film was amazing and there’s no way a replacement was needed - what are these guys thinking?!
Platinum Dunes are seeking writers for the remake (fingers crossed they find some great ones!). The company are also currently working on 21st Century updates of Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
For Gods sake, leave the classics alone!
