Mark Wahlberg was cast in the lead role of John Moore’s Max Payne a while ago now and since then we’ve not heard very much of the project at all. That’s all changed as today it has been reported that Mila Kunis has signed on to star alongside Wahlberg in the action thriller based on the Max Payne video game.

Kunis will play an assassin, hellbent on avenging her sister’s death. Her character teams up with Wahlberg’s after he stumbles upon a conspiracy while investigating a series of murders that may be linked to the loss of his family.

Kunis is best known for her comedy roles. She made her name in That ‘70s show, voiced Meg Griffin in the ever-popular Family Guy and will shortly be seen in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It’ll be good to see her try her hand at something different.
