Flushed Away is a brand new animation brought to you by the same people that made Madagascar and Shrek that is bout a pampered British rat who accidentally gets flushed from his posh penthouse flat into the slimy London sewers. The film takes us into a weird and wonderful story about who he meets, what he does and whether he makes it bad to his glorious previous life.

Dream Girls is a new screen version of late director Michael Bennett’s Broadway musical account of the rise to fame of a black female singing trio in the 1960s who try to take control over the white music charts. It has some big names such as the ones of Jamie Foxx, Beyoncé Knowles and Eddie Murphy.

Nacho Libre is a new film that is soon to be released in the UK on DVD starring Jack Black. His character is called Ignacio; his friends call him Nacho, and he is a Mexican priest who moonlights as a wrestler to raise money for his orphanage.

I know that Jack Black’s previous films have been hilarious; like School of Rock, but this one seems to be quite lame with jokes that fail to stretch the imagination. Take the trailer for example, there is nothing in there at all that anyone would find hilarious (read more…)
